Kim – Founder, Pause Whisperer

Kim is a storyteller, strategist, and builder who has made a career out of solving complex problems and carving new paths.

She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and earned her Master of Science from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. As an investigative journalist, she became known for hidden-camera reporting that held institutions accountable, earning two Emmy nominations.

Later, Kim turned her focus to business and finance, earning the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation — the highest certification in risk management — to lead the turnaround of a 50-year-old, seven-figure insurance agency. Through automation, analytics, and operational transformation, she positioned the business for an above-market multiple sale.

After the exit, Kim began advising venture-backed startups and influencers on growth and fundraising strategy. But advising in male-dominated spaces often meant watching male founders take credit for her insights — a frustration that pushed her to flip the script and become the founder herself.

During the pandemic, Kim also taught herself to ski, going from beginner to expert in under three years by leveraging AI tools to accelerate her learning. That same scrappy, self-directed energy fueled the creation of Pause Whisperer: a perimenopause-first platform built to give women clarity, calm, and confidence through AI, community, and systemic change.

Kim now brings together her rigor as a journalist, discipline as a risk strategist, and grit as a founder to close one of the largest gaps in women’s health.
